We have a superb opportunity available for an Architect to join a multi-award winning AJ100 architecture and building consultancy practice located regionally in Leeds City centre

​An exciting opportunity exists for a design orientated Architect with experience and interest in the education, healthcare, residential and defence sectors who is a passionate and driven individual keen to join their creative and friendly team in Leeds.

​The Role

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of associated projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.

Your Skills and Experience

  • ARB registered Architect with no less than 3 years post qualification experience
  • You will ideally have cross sector experience
  • Already utilising Revit on a daily basis is preferable
  • Job runner
  • Proven skills of managing and delivering projects from inception to completion

Key Responsibilities

  • Building design
  • Contract administration
  • Some financial management of projects
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • Attend site regularly to monitor progress
  • Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)
  • Carry out regular design reviews
  • Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists
  • Manage a project team
  • Prepare detailed design drawings
  • Take a brief and develop into a concept design
  • Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA procedures
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to prepare working drawings and schedules and prepare specifications
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externally
  • Experience managing small to medium and medium to large projects throughout their lifecycle
  • High level working knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law
  • Innovative approach to design, high level of visualisation skills and an awareness of design style

  • Salary: Competitive salary based on experience £37,000 – £42,000
