To these ends, the Museum Service develops and grows its collection, which reflect the lives of people of all lived experiences, resident or working in the borough both past and present. Our collections consist mainly of archaeology and local social history including photographs, artworks and archival material.

Working closely with our dedicated team, you will be responsible for the promotion, conservation and interpretation of our collections at both sites, ensuring a high standard of collections care and ensuring the adherence to policy, and documentation procedures.
The role will act as a point of expertise and advice at many levels and act as the liaison between the museum service and local and regional museum professional networks and associations.
