Job description: Our client is seeking a Package Manager to join our defence sector in Reading, UK.

This role involves front-end constructability and early contractor involvement at a secure facility.

Security clearance at SC level (with potential for DV level) is required, along with 5 years of continuous UK residency and UK Citizenship.

As a Package Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading operational management and project delivery, with a focus on M&E and/or HVAC packages.

Building relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring project deliverables and construction requirements are met.

Maintaining the highest standards of nuclear safety and quality.

Managing projects within tight schedules and budgets, overseeing engineering deliverables, risk management, and construction outcomes.

Fostering an inclusive environment, motivating the team to achieve project success.

Implementing project controls, commercial management, and contract administration (NEC3 & 4).

Ensuring consistent, high-quality project deliverables, prioritizing safety and nuclear safety requirements.

Producing weekly and monthly progress reports for project stakeholders.

Requirements:

HNC, HND, or Degree qualification (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 3 years of experience in delivering large-scale projects, preferably in a highly regulated setting.

SMSTS or equivalent certification is preferred.

Existing SC or higher-level security clearance is advantageous.

Prior experience in Defence/High Assurance Level/Civil Nuclear projects is preferred.

Lifting AP or high-level knowledge is beneficial.

TWC or high-level knowledge is beneficial.

Excellent written report and presentation skills.

2 year freelance contract

£500-600 a day OUTSIDE IR35
