We have a superb opportunity available for a Senior level Architect to join a multi-award winning AJ100 architecture and building consultancy practice located regionally in Leeds City centre

​An exciting opportunity exists for a design orientated Senior Architect with experience and interest in the education, healthcare, residential and defence sectors who is a passionate and driven individual keen to join their creative and friendly team in Leeds.

​The Role of Senior Architect

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of associated projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties. The post has excellent opportunities for career enhancement and you will benefit from working in one of the most flexible and autonomous cultures available in the industry.

​Your Skills and Experience

  • ARB registered Architect currently operating at a Senior Project Architect level, minimum 5 years – 10 yeas post qualification experience.
  • You will ideally have cross sector experience
  • Already utilising Revit on a daily basis is preferable
  • Proficient and confident Job runner
  • Proven skills of managing and delivering projects from inception to completion

​Key Responsibilities for the Senior Architect

  • Building design
  • Contract administration
  • Some financial management of projects
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • Attend site regularly to monitor progress
  • Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)
  • Carry out regular design reviews
  • Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists
  • Manage a project team
  • Prepare detailed design drawings
  • Take a brief and develop into a concept design
  • Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA procedures
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to prepare working drawings and schedules and prepare specifications
  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externally
  • Experience managing small to medium and medium to large projects throughout their lifecycle
  • High level working knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law
  • Innovative approach to design, high level of visualisation skills and an awareness of design style

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive salary based on experience £43,000 – £46,000
  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid Working)
