Pay rate: £500 – £550 per day outside IR35

Duration: 3 months initially

Location: Home Counties – occasional visits to site

Venn Group are currently partnering with a leading University who are looking for a passionate and innovative Solutions Architect to deliver on a student and professional services based project.

Prior Higher Education experience is required for this position so only apply if you have this.

Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

  • Set out solution goal and develop business and non-functional requirements
  • Formulate solution proposals and complete solution designs
  • Review IT implications, technical feasibility, risks, costs, and resource needs associated with different solutions
  • Leverage expertise in industry best practices, IT strategy, architectural principles, security and data policies
  • Design, document, promote and initiate the implementation of the IT aspects of the solution, ensuring that appropriate standards are applied and processes are followed
  • Prepare project documentation, facilitate handover to the project manager and project implementation team then monitor progress to check that the intended solution approach is being followed, providing ongoing advice to ensure design quality standards are met
  • In cases where the implementation is stopped for unexpected or technical reasons, work with key stakeholders to agree on any appropriate change to design

Experience

  • Higher education experience is essential
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Experience interacting with staff at all levels including the Executive level

Expected salary: £550 per day
